The Eco-System-City: Living in a Green & Dynamic Living Environment
Introduction
This research paper explores how biophilic urbanism and demountable construction can be combined to create a more sustainable and circular living environment. The integration of these two concepts can lead to a city that functions like an organism, interacting dynamically and sustainably with its residents, environment, and economic system.
The paper investigates how urban environments and nature can be interwoven to function as a single organism. With increasing pressure on flora and fauna worldwide, excessive greenhouse gas emissions, and high resource consumption, we need to fundamentally rethink how our cities operate. This research contributes to urban planning by examining two innovative developments that can improve urban metabolism functioning.
