Rijnenburg
Introduction
This project outlines my vision for developing Rijnenburg, an area southwest of Utrecht. For years, discussions have centered on whether this area should be designated for housing, recreation, or as an energy landscape.
Developing Rijnenburg could greatly benefit the city of Utrecht and the many individuals seeking suitable housing. With an area of one thousand hectares, the possibilities are vast. My goal is to establish a framework that serves as a foundation for transforming the area into a vibrant, open, and integrated urban landscape, where the interaction between housing and energy is paramount. This project illustrates how thoughtful urban design can create synergy between these seemingly competing demands for space.
